Eurogroup Consulting in collaboration with MBA in IM Students from ESCP Business School conducted a study on the “Circular economy in the automotive industry”.
In the face of rising regulatory constraints, resource constraints, and the growing consumer expectation for sustainability, the automotive sector is at a turning point. But the road to adopting circular economy (CE) models is challenging. Current CE practices struggle with scalability, economic feasibility, and the complexity of supply chains. So in our study we try to focus on diverse approaches related to innovation and adaptability.
This study explores short-medium- and long-term approaches to overcome barriers and discover the potential of circularity in the automotive industry. From the advent of petrol-powered cars in 1886 to the rise of electric vehicles today, the automotive landscape is constantly evolving. What changes are ahead for the industry? What steps can auto makers take to capitalize on innovation opportunities in this trending field?
